50 Celebrations for 50 Years
A global initiative honoring Save Venice’s 50th Anniversary from June 2021 through June 2022
Fifty years of saving Venice is a milestone worth celebrating! Instead of marking the anniversary with a single event in one location, there will be 50 celebrations around the world. We invite our friends and supporters to host intimate events of approximately 10–20 guests at their home or chosen venue in honor of the 50th Anniversary and to celebrate life, art, and resilience–all the qualities of La Serenissima.
The annual masked ball in New York is scheduled to resume on April 8, 2022. The 50th Anniversary Gala in Venice will be October 7-10, 2022, including an optional extension day.

How to Participate
To participate in “50 Celebrations for 50 Years” (50×50), hosts are asked to contribute at one of the levels listed below and underwrite their own celebration. Event details including location, date, and guest list are all at the discretion of the host. Themes inspired by Venice are encouraged!
Contributions to Save Venice are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Hosts will be given an in-kind donation receipt for their event expenses.
Proceeds of “50 Celebrations for 50 Years” will support Save Venice’s mission to preserve the artistic heritage of Venice, and help fortify our financial foundation as we look to the next 50 years.
All Chairs and Hosts will receive:
A 50x50 Celebration Host Kit to create a Venetian-inspired experience containing: Digital invitation for your event to send to your guests; Four custom linen towels with embroidered Lion of Saint Mark, made in Venice; Specialty drink kit provided by Select Aperitivo; Host gift provided by Mozzafiato; Venetian-inspired menu ideas for cocktails, lunch, and dinner; and an Italian-themed Spotify playlist.

$100,000 International Chair, $50,000 Benefactor Chair or $25,000 Chair
Contribute $100,000, $50,000 or $25,000 and underwrite an event at your home or chosen venue.

$5,000 Young Friend Host
Give or commit to get $5,000 as a contribution to Save Venice and underwrite an event at your home or chosen venue. Receive the 50x50 Celebration Host Kit. Open only to ages 35 and younger.
