New Educational Initiative

Save Venice Hosts Venetian Students for Work-Study Program

At the Rosand Library & Study Center Save Venice is now hosting two classes of third and fourth year students from the Liceo Linguistico N. Tommaseo for a new work-study program, Alternanza Scuola Lavoro. Under this national program, students at Italian high schools complete volunteer work at participating institutions and businesses in order to receive their diplomas.

Through this educational initiative, Save Venice offers students the unique opportunity to hone their English language skills while gaining valuable experience through working in the Save Venice office and Rosand Library and assisting with events such as monthly roundtables. Through observing conservators at Save Venice restoration sites, students also develop an interest in future careers in the arts and sciences.
