Venezia FC, Venice’s professional football (soccer) club playing in Italy’s top tier league Serie A, launches its 2021/2022 fourth jersey tomorrow with a portion of sales benefiting Save Venice. Order here Friday, 10/29 beginning at 10:30 am EST.

Coinciding with Save Venice’s 50th Anniversary in October 2021, we are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Venezia FC, the professional football (soccer) club of Venice playing in Italy’s top tier league Serie A, to raise awareness and funds for our mission. Venezia FC will generously donate a percentage of sales from its 2021/2022 fourth jersey launching tomorrow Friday, October 29 at 10:30 am EST, the design for which is inspired by the iconic flag of the Republic of Venice. Through this alliance, Venezia FC will also use its international platform to share Save Venice’s mission, work, and ways to support.

“Venezia FC’s mission is to leverage our position in the world’s most popular sport to serve as a global ambassador of Venice, which includes a specific focus on advocating for the preservation and celebration of Venice’s cultural heritage,” said Ted Philipakos, Venezia FC’s Chief Marketing Officer. “When we developed this mission, Save Venice’s work was a part of our inspiration, so it is an honor for us to announce this partnership. Venezia FC is very excited to be supporting and promoting Save Venice’s  conservation projects and educational initiatives.”

Save Venice Chairman Frederick Ilchman states, “It is an honor for our organization to be affiliated with Venezia FC and to benefit from the proceeds of Venezia FC’s latest jersey. This partnership is just one component celebrating Save Venice’s 50th Anniversary in 2021. It will provide critical funding for conservation treatments of artwork in Venice and for educational initiatives that share Venice with the world. As a former Venetian resident and longtime fan, some of my happiest memories were in the Curva Sud. I look forward to wearing my jersey proudly.”
