Treasure Hunts

Save Venice has a long tradition of creating Treasure Hunts to enhance your experience of Venice. Each hunt is completely unique and specially designed to lead you to lesser-known neighborhoods and artistic treasures.

The Work of Save Venice:
This Treasure Hunt highlights many of the works restored by Save Venice over the years from the church of San Sebastiano, Gallerie dell’Accademia, and Santa Maria della Salute in Dorsoduro to San Francesco della Vigna in Castello. Other clues are found along the way and in locations where Save Venice has lended its support. This hunt was generously sponsored by Beatrice and Pepé Esteve.

Sounds of Venice Treasure Hunt
This Treasure Hunt focuses on the sounds of Venice — both actual and those easily conjured. Starting at the Accademia Bridge and ending up in Piazza San Marco, stroll through the back streets of Venice paying particular attention to the sounds you hear along the way.

I Batocchi di Venezia
Among many of the unnoticed treasures of Venice are its Batocchi, (doorknobs and knockers). These charming ‘sculptures in bronze’ — large and small, old and new, rare and commonplace — are everywhere. A children’s favorite, no reading required.
