Venezia Per Sempre

Venezia Per Sempre (Venice Forever) is a society that honors the generous donors who have made a commitment to preserve the treasures of Venice with a bequest or other planned gift to Save Venice.

If the wonders of Venice have enriched your life, consider enriching the lives of future generations of Venice lovers with a planned gift. Including Save Venice in your will is a simple way to create a lasting legacy. If you have already included Save Venice in your will we would like to recognize you now.

For more information about making a bequest to benefit Save Venice’s mission or to join Venezia Per Sempre as a founding member, please call Amy S. Gross at 212-737-3141.

Please remember to consult your attorney when considering your estate plans.

The lion symbolizing Venezia Per Sempre is part of the façade of the Scuola Grande di San Marco, restored by Save Venice from 2000 to 2005. In contrast to the lion in Save Venice’s logo, which stands with his paw on an open book, this lion is framed by his wings, a pose called molecca. Most of the public lion statuary, because it was a symbol of the Venetian Republic, was destroyed during the Napoleonic and Austrian reigns of the 19th century. They have since been replaced by copies. This lion remains one of a handful that survived, thus further underlining the meaning of Venezia Per Sempre.
