Enjoy three days and nights in Venice with the special access that only Save Venice provides. Join us as we celebrate the Venetian painter Vittore Carpaccio (c. 1465-c.1526) and explore his world, including the acclaimed exhibition at Palazzo Ducale, Vittore Carpaccio: Dipinti e Disegni.
Explore Venice through the lens of Carpaccio and experience a
Renaissance empire at its peak.
Patricia Fortini Brown, Board member of Save Venice and Professor Emerita at Princeton University, has transformed our understanding of the artist and will give the keynote lecture. Other highlights include an after-hours tour of the major exhibition at Palazzo Ducale and a private viewing of Carpaccio’s paintings at the Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, restored thanks to Save
Venice and its generous donors.
Guests will mingle at a cocktail reception in a grand private home, enjoy cocktails on the Loggia Foscari and dine in the courtyard of Palazzo Ducale, and say arrivederci to friends old and new at an elegant dinner in a palazzo. Unlike a gala, Celebrating Carpaccio does not have a black-tie evening. Yet this weekend will maintain the tradition of hospitality for which Save Venice is famous.
