Join Save Venice on an excursion exploring two crucial themes in British culture and visual arts: the country house and the Grand Tour. Through visits, many of them private, to superlative art collections and examples of historic architecture, again and again we will encounter artistic masterpieces inspired by Italy and above all, by Venice. You will truly see La Serenissima with new eyes having enjoyed firsthand these treasures in England.
Experts Dr. Frederick Ilchman and Dr. Jonny Yarker will lead the excursion, which is set apart from most England trips as guests will stay in two country estates – the Palladian-inspired Wolterton House and Weston Park – serving as the home bases for five nights after an initial two days in London. Guests will see works by Titian, Sebastiano Ricci, Jacopo Amigoni, Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini, and Paolo Veronese in various homes and museums throughout the trip.
Very limited spots remain. Contact Araby Martin at araby@savevenice.org or click the button below to register interest.
